TATTOO CONTEST
We are happy to announce that we are hosting an exciting tattoo contest! If you are proud of your unique artwork and want to show off your tattoo to the world, this is your chance.
The tattoo contest will be held in different categories, including traditional tattoos, color tattoos, black and white tattoos and many more. There will be a panel of experts who will judge the tattoos and choose the winners. There are great prizes to be won!

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Heads Up, Ink Lovers: We love tattoo diversity, but with so many artists and styles we unfortunately have to make a few cuts. That's why this year, too, there's a selected range of categories. Please understand that not every style gets its own stage - but hey, stay tuned, maybe next time it'll work out!
The following conditions apply to all other categories:
- Minimum age: 18 years – sorry, Kids, no exceptions!
- The artists must have a stand at the show – no booth, no contest!
- Healed tattoos are cool and may participate in almost every category – außer bei Best of Day und Best of Show.
- Each tattoo can only participate in one category – choose wisely!
- Motives for Best of Day und Best of Show must be 100% made during convention days of the TattooCON
- Registration is closing 30 minutes before the start of the contest in the Wildcat VIP Lounge. Be on time, otherwise that's it!
Saturday
Best of Fineline / Microrealism
Ultra-thin lines, fine details. The best tattoo with extremely fine lines and detailed, often photorealistic depictions in miniature format wins.
Best Blackwork / Ignorant Style
Bold black, minimalism, rebellious motifs. The best tattoo in pure black—either with clear, graphic surfaces (blackwork) or in a deliberately simple, raw style (ignorant style).
Best of Black & Grey
Realism, dotwork, Chicano, surrealism. The best tattoo created exclusively in shades of black will be awarded—shading, depth, contrast, and overall effect will be evaluated.
Best of Neotraditional
Neotraditional. Awarded the best tattoo in the modern traditional style—with bold outlines, rich colors, and vivid, often illustrative motifs.
Best of Saturday
The best tattoos that took first place in the previous categories and were done at TattooCON.
Sunday
Best of small
Tattoos no larger than the palm of your hand.
Best of Anime / Cartoon
Manga, gaming, comic characters. The best tattoo featuring characters or motifs from anime, video games, or comics will be awarded a prize—judging criteria include recognizability, stylistic fidelity, and creative execution.
Best of lettering / Ornamental
The best tattoo with lettering—focus is on typography, line work, legibility, and style. The best tattoo with patterns, mandalas, or geometric designs—symmetry, precision, and overall artistic impression are evaluated.
Best of Colour
Best colored tattoo awarded - color choice, gradients, saturation, and overall effect are evaluated.
Best of Sunday
The best tattoos that took first place in the previous categories and were done at TattooCON.
